The 9th Congressional District of Illinois is a congressional district consisting of all of Evanston, Skokie, Niles, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Norridge. It is also made up of parts of Wilmette, Northfield, Glenview, Golf, Rosemont and Des Plaines, as well as much of the North Side of City of Chicago.

The current representative of the 9th congressional district is Jan Schakowsky (D).

The 9th congressional district of Illinois will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012.

2010

On November 2, 2010, Jan Schakowsky won re-election to the United States House of Representatives. She defeated Joe Barry Pollak (R) and Simon Ribeiro (G) in the general election.[1]
