The Illinois Chairman of Commerce Commission
is a state executive position in the Illinois state government. Each commissioner is appointed by the governor
and confirmed by the Illinois State Senate
for a five-year term. Under Illinois
law, no more than three commissioners may belong to the same political party.
The current chairman of the commission is Doug Scott. He was appointed March 3, 2011. Scott serves alongside Lula Ford (appointed January 21, 2003), Erin O'Connell-Diaz (appointed 2003), Ann McCabe (appointed March 16, 2012), and John Colgan (appointed November 15, 2009).
