Title 15, Article 11, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of the Indiana Code addresses the office of director of agriculture:
The director of agriculture is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the governor.
The director of agriculture is responsible for overseeing the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, which regulates agriculture in the state. The director also advocates for growth and development of Indiana agriculture.
