Files served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1998 to 2002. He ran for re-election in 2004 but was denied.
Files earned his BS in Accounting from Arkansas State University in 1994. He then worked as an Accountant for Baldor Electric Company from 1994 to 1997. From 2004 to 2006, he was Vice President of Development for ERC Properties. He has worked for Fort Smith Christian School as an Accountant since 1997. He has also been the owner of FFH Construction, LLC since 2006.
