James Drake was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 95 of the Ohio House of Representatives.

Drake's professional experience includes working as a Spanish teacher at St. Clairsville High School. He earned his BA in history/Spanish and his B.S. in education from Ohio University. Drake most recently earned his M.S. in educational administration from Franciscan University.

Drake is a member of the Ohio Foreign Language Association, the Ohio Education Association, and has served on the Ohio Education Association's Fund for Children in Public Education State Council, Legislative Committee. He is also an associate member of the Belmont County Township Trustee's Association.

Drake ran in the 2012 election for Ohio House District 95. Drake and William N. Weekley were defeated by Charles J. Daniels in the Democratic primary on March 6[1][2]
