James Skoufis (b. 1987) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 99. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012.


Skoufis earned a BA from George Washington University in 2008, and a MA from Colombia University in 2009. His professional experience includes being a former Project Manager at Amerigard Alarm and Security Corporation.[1]

Skoufis ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 99. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012; he also ran on the Working Families Party ticket. He defeated Kyle P. Roddey in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
