James Hamper (b. June 16, 1955) is a Republican member of the Maine State Senate, representing District 13 since December 5, 2012. He is a former Republican member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 100 from 2004 until 2012.

Hamper works as a carpenter/foreman for Bartow Construction.

He is Vice Chair of the Oxford County Republican Committee, and a member of the Oxford Budget Committee, and Oxford Advent Christian Church.[1]
