James Leslie was a 2013 Green Party candidate for District 38 of the Virginia House of Delegates.[1]

Biography

Leslie holds a bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock College and works as a real estate broker. He spent 30 years in the United States Marine Corps, finishing his career as a colonel after serving in Vietnam, where he was wounded, as well as Granada, Panama, Kuwait and Iraq. He has also worked as a stock broker and a financial planner.[2]

Leslie received 1 percent of the vote in the general election on November 3, 2009, losing to incumbent Vivian Watts.[5] Republican Joseph Bury and Libertarian Matthew Cholko also ran.
