Jason Gant (born December 18, 1976, in Platte, South Dakota) is the 27th and current South Dakota Secretary of State. A Republican, he previously served as a member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing the people of the eleventh senate district from 2003 until 2011.

Biography

Gant grew up working on the family farm. After graduating from college he worked for a health insurance company, and went on to start his own healthcare consulting business. In 2004, he was elected to the state Senate and re-elected in 2006 and 2008.[1]

Gant was elected South Dakota's 27th Secretary of State on November 2, 2010.[2]

Gant was elected to the state senate in the fall of 2004 and re-elected in 2006 and 2008.[2]
