Jason Lewis is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts State Senate, representing the Fifth Middlesex District. He was first elected to the chamber in a special election on April 1, 2014.[1]

Lewis served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the Thirty-First Middlesex district from 2009 to 2014.

Lewis has been a member of the Winchester Finance Committee and the Winchester Democratic Town Committee.[2]

Elections for the office of Massachusetts State Senate will consist of a primary election on September 9, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Jason Lewis is unopposed in the Democratic primary. Monica Medeiros is unopposed in the Republican primary.

Jason M. Lewis (D) defeated Monica C. Medeiros (R) in the special election, which took place on April 1.[1][3] Lewis defeated Christopher G. Fallon and Anthony V. Guardia in the Democratic primary, while Medeiros was unopposed in the Republican primary.[4][5]

The seat was vacant following Katherine Clark's (D) election to Massachusetts' Fifth Congressional District.

A special election for the position of Massachusetts State Senate Fifth Middlesex District was called for April 1, with a primary on March 4. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28.[6]

Lewis won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Thirty-First Middlesex District. Lewis defeated John DePinto in the September 6 Democratic primary and defeated George Georgountzos (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8]

Lewis won re-election to the Thirty-first Middlesex Seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He defeated George Georgountzos (R) and Michael Rotondi (I) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[9]
