Jay Love is a former Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 74th District from 2002 to his date of resignation on August 1, 2013. The former chairman of the House Ways and Means Education committee stated that his resignation was spurred by a desire to invest more time in educational reform and business opportunities.[1]


Love's professional experience includes working as the owner of Real Estate Investment Company, and owner of Subway Sandwich Shops from 1992 to 2006. He also serves as deacon and member of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery, as well as a member of Calvary Baptist Church.[2]
