Jean Preston (b. May 25, 1935 - d. January 9, 2013) was Republican member of the North Carolina State Senate.

Preston served in the North Carolina State House from 1993 to 2007. She joined the North Carolina State Senate in 2007 and served in that position until her retirement in 2013. Shortly after her retirement, she passed away from complications relating to a fall she took while vacationing in Connecticut.[1]

Preston earned her B.S. from East Carolina University in 1957. She later received her MEd from East Carolina University in 1973. Preston worked as a teacher, administrator, and principal.
