Jeffrey Mursau is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 36th District since 2004. Prior to his election Mursau served as President of Crivitz Village from 1991-2004.

Mursau has worked as an electrical contractor, restaurant owner, and small business owner. He is a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Crivitz Lions Club, Saint Mary's Catholic Church, and Wings Over Wisconsin.[1]

Issue positions

Mursau did not provide answers to the 2008 Political Courage Test. The test provides voters with how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected.[2]

Legislation sponsored in 2009 includes:

  • AB-156 OWI monetary and imprisonment penalties changed; counting number of convictions by the court revised; county can ask DOT not to reinstate operating privileges until person has reimbursed county for jail costs
  • AB-200 School term: 180 day requirement eliminated; minimum hours of instruction retained
  • AB-335 Alcohol beverages consumed in public places: prohibition exception for event at and sponsored by private colleges
