Jene Vickrey is a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 6 since 1993 and currently serving as State House Speaker Pro Tempore.

Vickrey has served on the American Legion Exchange Council, National Federation of Independent Businessmen and Springhill Chamber of Commerce. He was also a charter member of the Louisberg Rotary Club.[1]

Policy Positions

Vickrey refused to take Project Vote Smart's Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[2]

Vickrey won re-election in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 6. Vickrey ran unopposed in the August 7 Republican primary and ran unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[4][5][6]

Vickrey won re-election to the 6th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He was also unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[7]
