Jerry Kearns is a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing the 92nd District since 2009. He was a County Supervisor on the Lee County Board of Supervisors from 1983-2001.

Kearns served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969. He has worked as an Industrial Electrician with Metzeler Automotive, and as a Staff Representative of the United Steelworkers.

He is a member of the Lee County Labor Council, University of Iowa Labor Advisory Board, and Co-Chair of the Lee County Labor-Management Commission.[1]

Kearns is running for re-election to the 92nd District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He was also unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election takes place on November 2, 2010.


On November 4, 2008, Kearns was elected to the 92nd District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Gary G. Ramaker (R). [2] Kearns raised $46,008 for his campaign, while Ramaker raised $5,544. [3]
