Jerry L. Mitchell (b. June 18, 1942) is a former Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District from 1995 to 2013.

Mitchell served as Superintendent of the Dixon Public School District from 1993-1994 and Assistant Superintendent from 1983-1993. He was also Principal of Rock Falls Junior High School from 1981-1983, and Junior High Principal of Danville Public Schools from 1976-1981.[1]

Mitchell won re-election to the 90th District seat against Democrat Kenneth J. Novak. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on February 2nd. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Republican Jerry Mitchell won re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives District 90 receiving 29,414 votes, ahead of Democrat Kenneth Novack who received 17,002 votes.[4]
