Paxton was defeated by incumbent Rick Crawford.[1] Paxton ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Arkansas's 1st District. She faced Scott Ellington, incumbent Rick Crawford (R) and Jacob Holloway (G) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]
