Jill Cohenour is a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 42 of the Montana State Senate.

Cohenour served in the Montana House of Representatives, representing District 78 from 2002 to 2011. State term limits disqualified her from seeking re-election in 2010.

Elections for the office of Montana State Senate will take place in 2014. A primary election took place June 3, 2014, and a general election will take place on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for major party candidates wishing to run in this election was March 10, 2014; minor party and independent candidates had until June 2, 2014, to file. Jill Cohenour defeated Dan Guzynski in the Democratic primary. Joe Dooling faced Marissa Stockton in the Republican primary. Incumbent Dave Lewis (R) is not seeking re-election due to term limits.[2][3]
