Stark ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Louisiana's 3rd District. Stark is facing incumbent Jeff Landry (R), incumbent Charles Boustany Jr. (R), Bryan Barrilleaux (R) and Ron Richard (D) in the November 6 blanket primary. Louisiana does not hold a primary before the November 6 general election. If candidates do not receive a majority of the vote on that date, they go to a runoff, to be held on December 8.
