Jim Townsend is the representative-elect for District 26 in the Michigan House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010 state legislative elections. Townsend was defeated in the Democratic primary on August 3, 2010.

Townsend won election to the District 26 Seat in 2010. He defeated Frank Houston, Bob Klotz and Kevin McLogan in the August 3 Democratic primary. He defeated Ken Rosen (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.
