Joan Lenes (b. February 24, 1951) is a Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Chittenden-5-2. He was first elected to the chamber in 2004.


Lenes earned her BA from the University of Florida in 1973. She went on to receive her MEd from the University of Vermont in 1980.

Lenes was the owner and operator of Climb High from 1980 to 2001. She has worked for the Champlain Valley Union High School since 1992.

Lenes won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Chittenden 5-2. Lenes was unopposed in the August 28 Democratic primary and defeated George Schiavone (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
