Joann Ginal is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 52. She was first elected to the chamber in 2012.


Ginal earned her B.S. in Biology from University of New Hampshire, her Masters in Zoology from Iowa State, and her Ph.D. in Reproductive Endocrinology from Colorado State University in 1997.[1]

Ginal won election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 52. She ran unopposed in the June 26, 2012, Democratic primary after winning over 90% of the vote at the HD-52 Democratic nominating assembly, disqualifying Democratic opponent Tom Griggs from the primary ballot. She defeated Bob Morain (R) in the General Election on November 6, 2012. [2][3]
