Joe Gardner (April 6, 1944 - February 4, 2013) was a Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 11 from his appointment in March 2007 until his death in February 2013.[1]

Gardner has earned his Ph.D., M.S. and B.S.

He is a businessman and has previously served as Associate Pastor of the Macedonia M. B. Church, Chaplain at Tri Lakes Hospital, and in the United States Military, Vietnam.[2]

On November 8, 2011, Gardner won re-election to District 11 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He ran unopposed in the August 2 primary and was unchallenged in the November 8 general election.[3]

On November 6, 2007, Gardner was elected in District 11. He defeated Kay Buckley-Houston and Steve Richardson in the primary election[4] and ran unopposed in the general election.[5]
