Joe Johnson is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 4 since 1990.

He won re-election unopposed in the November 3, 2009 general election.

Prior to his election to the House, Johnson served as a Substitute Judge for the Twenty-eighth General District Court from 1971-1989. He was also in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. [1]
