Harry "Joe" Tabor was a 2012 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 2nd Congressional District of Oregon. He lost to incumbent Greg Walden (R) in the November general election.[1]

Biography

Tabor is an alumnus of the University of Illinois, from which he received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering. After graduating from college, he became an electrical engineer and electronics consultant.

An active member of the state's Libertarian Party since the mid-1990's, Tabor has served the party as Judicial Committee Member, Chairperson, and Lobbying Director. Currently, he is the Director/Vice Chairperson of the Libertarian Party in Oregon, a role he has served since 2011.[2]

Tabor ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Oregon's 2nd District. Tabor ran on the Libertarian ticket and lost in the general election, in which he faced incumbent Greg Walden (R) and Joyce Segers (D).[1][3]
