Joey Hood is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He has represented the 35th District since 2012.

Hood is an attorney and operates his own law office in Ackerman, MS. He has also worked for former U.S. Senator Trent Lott (R-MS) and was a clerk for the Mississippi Court of Appeals. Hood earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law and holds a B.A. in political science and history from Mississippi State University.[1]

On November 8, 2011, Hood won election to District 35 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He defeated J. Shannon Crow in the primary on August 2, 2011.[2] Hood was unchallenged in the November 8 general election. [3]
