Joey Hood is a 2011 Republican candidate for District 35 of the Mississippi House of Representatives.

Hood is an attorney and operates his own law office in Ackerman, MS. He earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law and holds a B.A. in political science and history from Mississippi State University. He worked for former U.S. Senator Trent Lott (R-MS) and was a clerk for the Mississippi Court of Appeals. He is a graduate of French Camp Academy.[1]

Hood is running in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 35. He defeated J. Shannon Crow in the primary on August 2, 2011.[2] No Democratic candidates filed to run for election. The general election takes place on November 8, 2011. [3]
