Gale was born in [Nebraska] and attended [North High School], where he graduated from in [[4]]. He earned his [[5]] at [College] in [Minnesota] in [[6]]. He earned his [[7]] from the [of Chicago] [School] in [[8]]. Gale moved to North Platte in [[9]], and practiced law there until he was appointed as Secretary of State by Governor [Johanns] in [[10]]. He was elected as Secretary of State in [[11]], defeating his [Party] opponent, [Stoddard]. He was reelected in [[12]], defeating Stoddard again.
