John Anders is a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He has represented the 21st District since 2006.

Anders has worked as a farmer, and as a salesman for John Deere. He received his B.S. in Agriculture-Business from Louisiana Polytechnic Institute.

He is a member of the Democratic Caucus, and the Louisiana Rural Caucus.[1]

On October 22, 2011, Anders won re-election to District 61 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He defeated Justin Conner (D) in the October 22 primary with more than 50% of the vote. Because Louisiana uses a blanket primary system, a candidate can be declared the overall winner of the seat by garnering 50 percent +1 of the vote in the primary.[2]
