John Bohanan, Jr. (b. September 12, 1958) is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates. He has represented District 29B since December 16, 1999, and was Deputy Majority Whip from 2003-2007.

Bohanan is Senior Advisor to U.S. Representative Steny H. Hoyer, and previously served as his District Director. Bohanan has also been a Project Analyst/Operations Manager with SFA, Incorporated, Senior Staff member of Tracor Applied Sciences Incorporated, and legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Roy P. Dyson.

Bohanan is Chair of the Saint Mary's County Delegation, and a member of the Maryland Veterans Caucus, Maryland Bicycle and Pedestrian Caucus, Maryland Rural Caucus, and Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland.[1]
