John Evans (b. February 15, 1955) was a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 5 from 2001 to 2012.

Evans earned his BA in Speech Communications and his MA in Communication Studies from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and 1999, respectively.

From 1980 to 2000, Evans worked as a Reporter for WJET-TV of Erie, Pennsylvania. He is currently employed as a Communications Specialist for Eric Insurance Group.

Evans joined the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2001. He has served in that position since, representing the 5th District.

On November 4, 2008, Evans won re-election to the 5th District seat of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives with 16,766 votes, defeating Democrat John Alward (9,073). [2]
