Biography
Fockler earned his BA in History from Colgate University in 1979. He then worked as a magazine assistant editor for Trade Magazine in 1980. From 1980 to 2000, he was a desk clerk and manager for Howard Johnson Express. He also worked as an assistant manager for Days Inn from 1993 to 1999. Fockler worked as general manager at County Inn from 1999 to 2000 as well. He then was employed by Comfort Inn as a desk clerk/payroll/assistant to manager from 2000 to 2010. In 2010, he ran unsuccessfully for District 33 of the Ohio State Senate.
Elections
2012
Fockler is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing Ohio. He won the Libertarian Primary on March 6, 2012. Fockler faces incumbent Sherrod Brown, Josh Mandel (R), and Joseph DeMare (G) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1]
