John Fritchey (b. March 2, 1964) was a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 11th District from 1997 to 2010. Currently, he serves as a member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners[1].

Fritchey is an attorney, and has been an Adjunct Lecturer in Political Science at Northwestern University, and Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois.

He is a member of the Chicago Gateway Green Committee and Holy Name Cathedral, Founder of the John Fritchey Youth Foundation, and Vice President of the John G. Shedd Aquarium Auxiliary Society.[2]

Fritchey did not run for re-election to the 11th District Seat in 2010. He ran for an open seat on the Cook County Board that vacated by Commissioner Forrest Claypool[3]. Fritchey won election to the Board on November 2, 2010[4].

2008

On November 4, 2008, Democrat John Fritchey won re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives District 11. He ran unopposed receiving 38,824 votes.[5]

On November 7, 2006, Democrat John Fritchey won re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives District 11 receiving 22,170 votes, ahead of Republican Ashur Odishoo who received 4,525 votes.[6]
