Ewy won election in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 117. He defeated Mitchell Rucker and John W. Unruh in the August 7 Republican primary and was defeated by Dennis McKinney (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]
