John C. McCaherty (b. April 6, 1965) is a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 97. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010.


McCaherty is a graduate of Liberty University and Liberty Home Bible Institute. His professional experience includes sales, management, and service industries. McCaherty served in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1989.

McCaherty won re-election in the 2012 election for Missouri House of Representatives, District 97. McCaherty ran unopposed in the August 7 Republican primary and defeated Sam Komo (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
