John McEneny (b. August 30, 1943) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 104 since 1992. McEneny is the acting speaker pro tempore and historian for the New York State Assembly; a member of the executive committee for the Albany County Democratic Committee; and he also volunteers in campaigns for Democratic candidates. His past political experiences also include county legislator for Albany County Legislator and campaign a manager.

McEneny's professional experiences include chief of staff; district and county legislator; assistant county executive; assistant director; director for various departments and programs; commissioner of the Department of Human Resources for the City of Albany; district manager for the United States Census Bureau; teacher; volunteer; and social services caseworker and counselor.
