John Murtha (b. August 9, 1951 ) is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 29th District since 2007.

Prior to his election to the Assembly, Murtha served as Chair of the Town of Eau Galle Board of Supervisors from 2003-2006, and a member from 1999-2003.

He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and National Rifle Association.[1]

Murtha was re-elected to Wisconsin State Assembly District 29. Murtha defeated Democrat Liz Jones in the general election on November 2, 2010. He was unopposed in the September 14, 2010 primary election. [2]
