John Murtha (b. August 9, 1951 ) is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 29th District since 2007 and currently serving as State Assembly Majority Caucus Vice Chair.

Prior to his election to the Assembly, Murtha served as Chair of the Town of Eau Galle Board of Supervisors from 2003-2006, and a member from 1999-2003.

He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and National Rifle Association.[1]

Murtha is running in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 29. Murtha ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012, and will face Jim Swanson in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]
