John Olumba (b. July 12, 1981) is an Independent member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 3 since 2013. He represented District 5 from 2011 until 2013. He switched his party affiliation from Democratic to Independent on February 19, 2013.[1]

Olumba graduated from the University of Michigan with two majors, Economics and Political Science. He was then admitted to Northern Illinois University College of Law. He has also studied British Law at the University College of London.

After completing an internship with Brookins & Wilson, Olumba decided to forfeit private law practice in favor of a career in law making.[2]
