Pistone ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Connecticut's 5th District. Pistone ran as an unaffiliated candidate.[1] He faced Elizabeth Esty (D) and Andrew Roraback (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012. He was defeated in the general election by Esty.[2]
