John Proos (b. December 10, 1969) is a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate, representing District 21 since January 1, 2011. Prior to his time in the Senate, Proos represented House District 79 from 2005 to 2010.

Before his election to the Legislature, Proos worked for Congressman Fred Upton serving in several different roles, most recently as deputy Chief of Staff and District Director. John has also been Vice President of Heritage Homes Inc. of Michigan.
