John Sapien is a Democratic member of the New Mexico Senate. He represents the 9th District.

Education

Sapien earned his BBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico.

Professional experience

Sapien was an intern for the Office of United States Senator Jeff Bingaman. He has been owner/agent of State Farm Insurance Agency since 1992.

Political experience

Sapien is currently President of the Bernalillo Public Schools Foundation. He joined the New Mexico State Senate in 2008 and has served in that position since. He represents the 9th district.
