John Spiros is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 86. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012.


Spiros is currently the Vice President of Safety and Claims Management for Roehl Transport. He has been a member of the Marshfield City Council since 2005.

Elections for all 99 seats in the Wisconsin State Assembly took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 12, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Nancy Stencil was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent John Spiros was unopposed in the Republican primary. Stencil and Spiros faced off in the general election.[1][2] Incumbent Spiros defeated Stencil in the general election, and was re-elected for another term.[3]

In 2010, Spiros was a Republican candidate for District 70 of the Wisconsin State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010. Spiros was defeated by Democratic incumbent Amy Vruwink in the November 2 general election. He defeated Stephen Zdun in the primary election.[6]
