Johnny Joannou is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 79 from 1976-83, and currently since 1998. He also served in the Virginia State Senate from 1984-1991.

He won re-election unopposed in the 2009 general election.[1]

He is an attorney with the firm of Joannou, Knowles & Associates.[2]
