The Joint Finance Committee is a standing committee of the Wisconsin State Legislature.

The Joint Finance Committee approved Assembly Bill 11, the "Scott Walker Budget Repair Bill" on Wednesday, February 16, leading to union protests that attracted national attention.[1]

All bills introduced in either house of the legislature for the appropriation of money, providing for revenue or relating to taxation shall be referred to the joint committee on finance before being passed.[2][3]

The Joint Finance Committee is composed of eight senators and eight representatives, each appointed by the same method as their respective chambers.[4]
