Jonathan Farnick was a 2012 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 14th Congressional District of Illinois. Farnick was defeated by Dennis Anderson in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1]


Farnick graduated from Lancaster (Ohio) Senior High School and went to various colleges and universities in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois.

Farnick ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Illinois' 14th District. Farnick sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket. [2] The signature filing deadline was December 27, 2011, with the primary taking place on March 20, 2012. Incumbent Randy Hultgren is seeking re-election on the Republican ticket.

Farnick was defeated by Dennis Anderson in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1] In the Republican primary, incumbent Randy Hultgren ran unopposed.[1]

Farnick and his wife Melissa, who have been together for 23 years, married for 12 years, and have lived in Woodstock, Illinois since 2002. [3]
