Jose Peralta (b. 1972) is a Democratic member of the New York State Senate, representing District 13. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010. Peralta was elected in a special election in March 2010 to replace Hiram Monserrate, who was expelled.[1]

Peralta previously served in the New York State Assembly, where he represented District 39 from 2002 to 2010.

Peralta ran in the 2012 election for New York State Senate District 13. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. He also ran on the Working Families Party ticket. Peralta was unchallenged in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012. [2][3]
