Joseph Cryan (September 1, 1961) is a Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing the 20th District since 2002. He previously served as Majority Leader.

Cryan earned his BA in Business Administration from Belmont Abbey College in 1983. His professional experience includes working as manager/owner of Cryan's Restaurant and operation's manager for ITT Avionics.[1]

Cryan ran in the 2013 election for New Jersey General Assembly District 20. Cryan is bracketed with Annette Quijano. He was unopposed in the June 4 Democratic primary. He is challenged by Charles Donelly (R) and Christopher Hackett (R) in the general election which takes place on November 5, 2013.[3]

Cryan won re-election for District 20 of the New Jersey General Assembly. Cryan and fellow incumbent Annette Quijano ran bracketed together and defeated Tony Monteiro and Carlos Cedeno in the June 7 Democratic Primary. They then defeated John Donoso in the November 8 general election.[4]
