Joseph A. Lagana is a Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 38. He was first elected to the chamber in 2013.[1]


Lagana earned his B.A. from Fordham University in 2000 and his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2004. His professional experience includes working as a lawyer for Chasan Leyner & Lamparello, PC, as a law clerk to Hon. John A. Conte, Superior Court, Criminal Division, Bergen County Vicinage and as President of the Council of the Borough of Paramus.[2]


Campaign issues


On his Facebook page, Lagana said that if he was elected to the Assembly he would "cut wasteful state spending and lower taxes for small businesses to create new jobs and opportunities." [3]

Lagana won election in the 2013 election for New Jersey General Assembly District 38. He and incumbent Timothy J. Eustace (D) defeated Joseph Scarpa (R) and Joan Fragala (R) in the general election on November 5, 2013.[4][5]
