Joseph Lentol (b. January 15, 1943) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 50 since 1973. Lentol was also a member of the Brooklyn Assembly Delegation.

Lentol is an assistant district attorney for Kings County.

Lentol earned a BA from the University of Dayton and a JD from Baltimore University School of Law.[1]

Lentol defeated Andre Soleil in the September 14 Democratic primary. He faced Jacqueline Haro (R) in the general election on November 2.

2008

On November 4, 2008 Lentol won re-election to the New York State Assembly, District 50, defeating opponent Teresa Puccio (R).
